Missing woman among 3 to vanish in MI this month
NEWPORT, MI — The search for a missing Monroe County woman will continue on Thursday and is one of three cases in Michigan under investigation.
Information posted on the Help Find Chelsea Bruck Facebook page shows that there are two other open cases involving young women that seem to have vanished.
On what will be a fourth full day of searching for Chelsea Bruck, of Maybee, a source told NBC 24 that volunteers were expecting to be joined in their search by a handful of private companies with search dogs.
So far, efforts to locate Bruck in a five mile radius around the property where she was last seen have been fruitless.
A more than weeklong search, also in the air and on the ground, has also turned up nothing in the search for 28-year-old Connie Snyder of Kalkaska.
Residents of Kalkaska, near Traverse City, and surrounding communities have been searching the area where Snyder was last seen on October 18th.
As in the Bruck case, police say there has been no activity on Snyder’s cell phone and added there has been no use of Snyder’s credit cards since her disappearance.
A missing person’s flyer, also posted to the Help Find Chelsea Bruck Facebook page, indicates a Flat Rock woman was last seen October 9th.
The creator of the flyer asks that anyone with information on Darlene Marie Craddock Garcia’s whereabouts to contact Flat Rock Police, however NBC24 was unable to find any additional information on her case.
Bruck was last seen at a Halloween party at a private residence along Post Road in Frenchtown Township early Sunday morning.
The 22-year-old was last seen in a Poison Ivy costume, a character from the Batman series, and was wearing yoga pants and a top covered with ivy leaves.
Bruck was also wearing a dark wig over her blonde hair at the time of her disappearance.
Since she was reported missing on Monday, volunteers and authorities have search most of the five mile radius around the property where the party was held.
Searches have been done both in the air and on foot but so far have turned up no new clues.
A source has also revealed to NBC24 that investigators have checked surveillance video from nearby gas stations and a party store but, again, found nothing.
Tips have poured in following the release of a composite sketch showing a man that may have been the last to see Bruck before she vanished.
The image was put together using information from a witness who reported seeing Bruck walking to an area where cars were parked the night of the party.
Hundreds of leads have been submitted in relation to the sketch but NBC24’s source says none have panned out yet.
On Thursday, authorities planned to continue investigating more of those leads.
At 6:30 p.m., October 30th, friends and family planned to hold another prayer vigil for Bruck.
The rosary and mass will be held at the Divine Grace church, the St. Patrick site, on Grafton Road in Carleton, MI.
